Much Better Buses: it’s about time

Buses should be worth our time. After years of broken promises to bus riders, political will in City Hall is just about all we need to save riders time on busy streets and to make our buses much faster. Mayor Eric Adams leaves behind ample unbuilt work waiting for a green light for red paint in 2026. At next year’s end, a new five year Streets Plan is a golden opportunity to advance true bus rapid transit in New York City for the first time after two decades worth of learning from Select Bus Service.
